The English Learners Advisory Committee (ELAC)
Cordially invites you to the annual
Latino Heritage Celebration
Friday, December 16th, 6:30-8:30pm
All students will participate performing dances, singing, reciting poetry, or presenting information about Latin American leaders, artists, writers, or the history of Latin America.
Dinner will be from 5 – 6:15pm, come enjoy traditional Mexican dishes such as chicken mole and pozole, tamales, Salvadorian pupusas, Mexican bread and hot chocolate or delicious café de olla, and Argentinian alfajores! $5 main dish, rice, beans, & drink, $2 hot drinks, $1 dessert. Students and parents have been busy making arts and crafts for sale. Proceeds from the food and art sales will go towards programming for LeConte students
It takes lots of parents to put together this event! We are seeking volunteers to help in preparation for and during the event. Sign-up sheets will be posted outside every classroom. Please sign up there, or contact Carol Perez at 510-647-9071 or perez.carolfinis@gmail.com if you would like to help.

- Tuesday, Dec. 13th, Wednesday, Dec 14th, and Thursday, Dec. 15th, 3-5pm, we will need help with decorating the cafeteria, auditorium, and hallways. Please contact Elena Topete for more information, 510-898-1976
